Puppy Socialisation

There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face
"There is no psychiatrist in the world like a puppy licking your face."

Puppy development includes a 'critical socialisation period' and during this time puppies are naturally more inquisitive and open to new experiences. While your puppy's genetics play a part, exposure to a large range of stimulus during this time improves the chances of your puppy developing into a confident well-adjusted dog.
This critical development period ends around 12 to 16 weeks of age, so if your puppy is left on its own while you and the family are at work and school, it's missing out on critical socialisation. Extended isolation during this important developmental period minimises the opportunity for your puppy to experience novel stimulus and can negatively influence the future temperament of your dog.
DogCentric will help you capitalise on this development opportunity by evaluating your socialisation program to date and then taking your puppy on strategic excursions while you are at work.
Your puppy will be supervised by a certified behaviour counsellor who will ensure your puppy experiences the positive interactions it needs to develop the confidence and resilience essential for a sound temperament. Precautions will be also be taken to ensure your puppy's safety if it's vaccination protocol has not been completed.
The frequency of this service is flexible and can be designed to support your puppy's toilet training regime, which can be jeopardised if your puppy is left alone for long periods of time.
